In which we learn An Important Lesson

So, a couple days ago, we showed you some Minnie Mouse Pakkuncho Ichigo strawberry cookies from Morinaga. Mr. Tikistitch got 'em for us at Uwajimaya. So, he asked, "Should I get you the Mickey cookies as well?" They make some choco-style Mickey cookies. I'd looked at the box before, and, as you'll notice here, NO STITCH. So, I passed on 'em. But then, upon scientifically investigating the Minnie Mouse cookies, I found that, (a) they don't taste very good, but (b) they have not one but two Stitch cookies and (c) they have cookies for characters who are not necessarily on the box.

So we sent our intrepid spouse back to Uwajimaya for some Mickey cookies. Which, we just opened. And, guess what?????



No, not Stitch, but an actual Lilo cookie!!!! ZOMG, she still exists!!

tiki is annoying!

Well, it's true, I mean, what do you get me for my birthday? As, I only want Stitch, and, being the greedy sort, I already buy all the Stitch for myself.

This year, the Evil Mr. Tikistitch employed an evil friend to evilly sneak me some STEALTH STITCHIES!!!! Yes, it's true. And, I have no idea how he did it. I mean, I see how you could maybe sneak a couple plushies into our house if you stuffed them into your pants or something. But this was a whole box!!! How is it possible? Especially because, as is well known, tiki hates surprises.

Anyways, lots of neato stuff, including the hand towels shown above. Also, something I'd never seen before, what appears to be a Stitch doily! I guess it's something you'd give to your great auntie in Japan if she's also into Stitch? There was a pen from an insurance company, Dai-Ichi life - I know Snoopy and the gang have been advertising life insurance here for ages, but I've never seen a Disney character involved in such a thing. Also, a bit late for Xmas, but an adorable Cutie Stitch Santa box, for keeping even more Stitchies in. Also a magnet set that includes that weird graphic of Stitch swimming. As we all know, Stitch doesn't swim, due to the whole sinking to the bottom and drowning thing. AND the monster killer set of Stitch tissues, for next time I get the sniffles.

Tokyo Disney Stitch

This is a chance to show one of my favorite souvenirs from Tokyo Disney Sea, plus share a couple of the pretty pictures Mr. Tiki took for me. Basically, Disney Sea has a variety of lands, like Disneyland, only since it's water-themed, they call them "ports." So, for these items, they've created incredibly adorable images of Stitch (and Scrumpie!) visiting various ports in the park. Here there are at Mermaid Island, which is based on The Little Mermaid.

And, here is Stitch hanging around the Mysterious Island bit of the park (which houses several Jules Verne-themed rides in a volcano)....

Revenge of the Stitch

I'm not 100% certain this is exactly what George Lucas had in mind when he created the Star Wars universe so many years ago.  Anyways.  This is a plushie Stitch (a crane machine prize from Singapore, to be more specific) dressed in officially licensed Lucasfilm Limited Jedi robes from Build A Bear (many thanks to Amy S. for spotting them!!!).

So, after completing my latest mad science project, I proudly presented him to our home's resident Star Wars fanatic, Mr. Tikistitch, expecting to elicit an amusing array of anguish that is typical for him whenever my blue alien friend is introduced into his franchise of choice.

"Cool!" remarked Mr. Tiki.


"WUT?" sez I.


"You know what you should do?  You should get ALL the Build A Bear Star Wars costumes, and you should put them all on Stitches, and make the entire range?"


"Um, did a changeling just come in and steal my husband?"


"What are the other costumes in the line?"


"Er...."


Mr. Tiki then cheerily rattled off all of the other licensed Build A Bear Star Wars outfits, from memory.  "You need to get some generic Stitches!  It will be cool!"


So, there you go.  My spouse is on record at believing that my current issue is I need more Stitches.
