Love the detailing on this figure. His chef apron is tied in back, and he's holding a wire whisk.

Baker Stitch with whisk
This is just another cute plushie from the Japanese Disney store.

Usavich Stitch
In case you've never seen this odd show (which was featured on MTV Japan - collectibles are extremely popular there, based on all the prison bunnies Mr. Tiki and I saw last time we were in Tokyo), I've embedded a video.
You can see Stitch is clearly based on the characters, though the only markings are for Disney.

The Stitchies have landed!
Yup, my box from Disney Resort Paris finally caught up with me, so Mr. Tikistitch brang it in last night. THANKYOU, GERMAN POST OFFICE!
So, herewith some more detailed information. I'm starting with plushies, because, they're keen. This guy is a DJ Stitch. According to a chum, there was actually a full-sized DJ Stitch jamming on tunes at DL Paris last summer. (She got a hug from him - squee!) The plushie version is all set to jam, with an LP, DJ headphones, and kewl shades.

Also, we have a cutie Raincoat Stitch, for those grey spring days.

This Stitch wants you to have fun! But, number 10, and not 626???

This one is kind of neat, if you want to give a Stitch as a cadeau, here he is, already with his own gift bag!

And finally, for those who do not feel properly dressed unless they are head to to in Stitch, the Stitch ears top hat, and Stitch fuzzy slippers!

Skulls!
There's a lot of folks in Japan who are quite partial to goth culture, thus, it's no surprise Stitch has started decking himself out with some more macabre accessories.
Look closely at the Stitch plushie above (which was probably a UFO prize) - see anything interesting about those skulls?
I believe the Stitch wearing the Russian-style winter hat is just generic, at least, I don't know of any cultural reference he may be parodying. But, is that skull on his hat winking at me?

Signs
This is the latest monthly Stitch beanie from the Japanese Disney store. This past year's theme was the signs of the zodiac, and this guy represents Pisces.
The monthly beanie deal is actually a devilishly clever marketing gambit, 'cause if you wanna buy all the beanies in the series, you're obligated to visit your local Disney Store at least once a month for a year. Where, it's pretty clear, you'll also encounter plenty of other kawaii stuffs to buy.
Oddly, Pisces is the second to last sign to collect - the last will be Aries. If you're into this astrology stuff, as I was, having grown in in California, you'll know the signs are supposed to start with Aries and go end with Pisces. This was much confounding me for quite a while, as I assumed I had somehow missed nabbing Aries. Anyways, he's on order, so hopefully, in a few weeks, I'll finally have the full set.
Pisces is pretty cute. You'll notice it's Stitch wearing a fish hat! As with all the beanies in the series, he's got a picture of the Pisces constellation on his tummy, and the sign for Pisces on his patookie.

Stitch Valentine Devil & Scrump Angel
OK, so, like so many things from Japan, there is a lot going on with this item! Let's count the ways, shall we? This is a Stitch Valentine plushie from the Disney Store in Japan. You can see he's got little pink devil horns and fangs. And, a big old heart on his chest. And, heart feet, a heart wand, and a leetle heart tail! AND little black wings. Riding him is his buddy, Angel Scrump. She's also got teensy wings. Happy now?

Plush Rasta Stitch Set
This one really begs the question, Do they not know, or do they know and just not care? Anyways, this is a LICENSED DISNEY ITEM (it's even got a Disney hologram sticker on the back!) made in China, though bought from Japan (of course!). The little set consists of a small plush Stitch mascot, with dreads, a knit hat in the colors of the Jamaican flag, flip flops and even a tasty applique on the back of his sweater. It also features a silver leaf keychain (which says "DISNEY" right on it - legalize it, mon!), and illustrations that include a pretty blissed out looking Scrump doll.

Gothic!
So, one of the unexpected keen things about visiting Japan is occasionally spying an actual Japanese schoolgirl with a Stitch mascot hanging from her backpack. For one thing, it's reassuring to find out I'm not the only one buying all this stuff. (I often wonder. I mean, really, a Stitch toilet brush? Are they ever gonna sell more than 1 of those puppies?)
Now, given that little Japanese girls like Stitch, and certain of them have also been known to favor that newfangled Lolita stylin', it's maybe not surprising that we're starting to see Stitchies sporting eyepatches & plaid prints and teensy purple roses.
But the best?
Teensy wings, dude.

Beanie weenies
Here's some little beanie sized UFO plush from Singapore. (And, just so we're clear, "UFO catchers" specifically refer to toys that are prizes in some Asian claw machines. The actual claws in these rigs look like little flying saucers. Stitch is an alien, but it's really not related.) Anyways, above, here's a pale pastel set, all wearing little knit caps. That's a little fuzzy trio below (yes, all three are different, I checked). The Scrump, Stitch and Angel set is labelled "Noconoco," but it's universally referred to as "Cutie Boron." The other guys are singles from bigger sets.
Just wanted to add, here's a piccie of an honest to god UFO catcher machine, from Japan.
