Stitch in a can!

Basically, what it says on the title.

This is actually a decent concept: you put a small amount of cooking oil in the container, and this gizmo will turn it into a fine spray. Kind of like an atomizer for perfume. So, you can get by with less oil, less fat, blah blah blah.

According to the reviews on the web site, of course, it doesn't actually work very well. Ah well. At least it's got a cutie Stitch on the bottle!!! So, all your food will be kawaii.

Stitch Halloween Ziploc Container

This one is kind of to make a point: Japan no only has Stitch-themed tupperware type containers for your bento, the have HALLOWEEN THEMED Stitch tupperware!

It is just kind of awesome.

This is from Halloween 2009, and as you can see, there are other Disney chara featured.

One other point: evidently in Japan, it's Trick and Treat. Which seems a lot better idea to me.

Stitch Ziploc Tubs

These are actually Ziploc brand. But, same concept: they're small, reusable plastic tubs for storing foodstuffs.

They're Japanese, of course. Wish to heck they'd make something like this in the USA, as I would totally use them.

Anyways, we found an image of just such a Stencil on Yahoo auctions. I think the other ones might be Pooh Bear, but I can't see them too clearly.

Stitch Magic Straw

Originally uploaded by tikistitch

So, this was the only Stitchie thing I picked up this weekend in California, but it's pretty keen: a Stitch "Magic" straw. How does it work????? Ooo, I don't know. (Thanks, Michael & Lisa!!!)

Oh, wait, I forgot, Mr. Tikistitch also got me a "Stitch as Indy Jones" pin from Steve. Who hates Stitch. Which makes it pretty funny. But, we forgot it in Mr. Tiki's box at the Rancho, so I'll have to get a picture later.

In which we learn An Important Lesson

Morinaga Pakkuncho Choco Cookies

So, a couple days ago, we showed you some Minnie Mouse Pakkuncho Ichigo strawberry cookies from Morinaga. Mr. Tikistitch got 'em for us at Uwajimaya. So, he asked, "Should I get you the Mickey cookies as well?" They make some choco-style Mickey cookies. I'd looked at the box before, and, as you'll notice here, NO STITCH. So, I passed on 'em. But then, upon scientifically investigating the Minnie Mouse cookies, I found that, (a) they don't taste very good, but (b) they have not one but two Stitch cookies and (c) they have cookies for characters who are not necessarily on the box.

So we sent our intrepid spouse back to Uwajimaya for some Mickey cookies. Which, we just opened. And, guess what?????

No, not Stitch, but an actual Lilo cookie!!!! ZOMG, she still exists!!

Cookies!

Morinaga Pakkuncho Ichigo Crackers

Actually, they're called crackers, but they're full of gooey sweet pink stuff, so YMMV. I picked up a box of these "Morinaga Pakkuncho Ichigo Crackers" in Japan, but then Mr. Tiki saw 'em at Yamishiroya, so we got some more so I could open them up & smell the cookies (hint: STRAWBERRY DEATH).

Turns out, besides the usual Disney princesses and random Dwarfs, there's also TWO different kind of Stitch cookies. Oh, and no Minnies, even though these are supposed to be her crackers. As Igrrl suggested, I should probably figure out how to lacquer them over to save them for The Ages. Because, yanno, someone in the year 2525 might be writing their thesis about Stitch cookies of the 21st century. Or, something.

I want candy!

Tokyo Disney Resort Stitch Popcorn

OK. So. We blogged about the whole "oops I forgot a box we mailed ourselves from Tokyo 'cause it got hidden in our room while we were cleaning up for the Xmas party" thing the other day, so, after spending our day off watching part of a "Hoarders" marathon and then completely cleaning out the recycling pile from the kitchen (dunno why, just had the urge), we finally got around to taking some pictures.

Most of the stuff turns out to be the haul from Tokyo Disneyland and Disney Sea. We were kind of surprised and amazed at the sheer number of candy and/or cookie and/or just plain food items in our stash.

That's popcorn up above. There were also a lot of items in keen metal boxes, like the New Year 2010 candy, or the Chocolate Crunch. I like the box with the Mouse Ears, but can't for the life of me remember what's in it. The Chip N Dale one is, of course, nuts! There was also a neat package with a Stitch clip you can later use to close your potato chip bags. Does everyone who visits Tokyo Disney Resort go when they're totally hungry or something?

A pink usurper

I was just going through stuff we bought in Japan last year and noticed this image on a metal tin of Stitch cookies from Tokyo Disney Resort:

Look familiar?   This is why:

Lilo kissing Stitch

They've removed Lilo and inserted Angel!

Not sure why Stitch would be annoyed by a kiss from Angel, who's supposedly his girlfriend.

Tokyo Disney Resort Stitch cookies

Doing a bit of a Flickr photo dump this morning for some stuffs I bought in Tokyo last month. They've kind of been sitting in boxes over the holidays, waiting for their turn.

This cookie tin is a particular favorite. The sides depict Stitch enjoying himself at Tokyo Disney Resort. I believe this image is supposed to be Stitch riding Raging Spirits, a ride with a 360 degree loop.
