Pirate Stitch goods
Just wanted to note, the fabulous Disney Store in Japan has recently added several adorable goods featuring Pirate Stitch.
This is a watch that was limited to just a couple hundred pieces. There's also a belt buckle, the inevitable pins, a coffee cup, a Kleenex box cover, and etc. ARRRR!

Signs
This is the latest monthly Stitch beanie from the Japanese Disney store. This past year's theme was the signs of the zodiac, and this guy represents Pisces.
The monthly beanie deal is actually a devilishly clever marketing gambit, 'cause if you wanna buy all the beanies in the series, you're obligated to visit your local Disney Store at least once a month for a year. Where, it's pretty clear, you'll also encounter plenty of other kawaii stuffs to buy.
Oddly, Pisces is the second to last sign to collect - the last will be Aries. If you're into this astrology stuff, as I was, having grown in in California, you'll know the signs are supposed to start with Aries and go end with Pisces. This was much confounding me for quite a while, as I assumed I had somehow missed nabbing Aries. Anyways, he's on order, so hopefully, in a few weeks, I'll finally have the full set.
Pisces is pretty cute. You'll notice it's Stitch wearing a fish hat! As with all the beanies in the series, he's got a picture of the Pisces constellation on his tummy, and the sign for Pisces on his patookie.

Disney Store Update: In the Doldrums
Back when we were still collecting a lot of new American toys, Mr. Tikistitch and I considered the first quarter of each year to be some kind of a toy doldrums. After the holiday rush, one could usually not expect anything too new and shiny to show up at toy stores until Seattle's grey winter rain turned to grey spring rains.
But, if watching the Milo and the Phantom Tollboth cartoon 87 times has taught us anything, don't say there's nothing to do in the Doldrums! So, herewith, a couple of Disney Store holiday items we missed, and a few actual new things. First up is Stitch in that Nordic type sweater. (My friend James spotted this guy - thanks James!) And there's a new Stitch Xmas stocking. If you press his paw, it plays an extremely high pitched version of Jingle Bells. (Reminds me, I oughta do a Stitch Xmas stocking review at some point.) The generic Stitches (below) are things I bought to go with some more Build-A-Bear Costumes. They were 2 for $25, which I why I bought two. I had not seen the Stitch plastic cup (below) before, but they were 2 for $10 at my Disney Store, which means Boneboy had to get one as well (for cocktail purposes). And I blogged about the super adorable VDay Love Bug Stitch beanie before. He's got teensy wings, and little heart antennae!
