So, the latest shipment from Japan arrived today, and, after a brief SNAFU (just for future reference, just because the USPS site indicates "delivered" it doesn't really mean "delivered" delivered, it may mean something else, though exactly what is known only to deranged postal workers) I dragged them all home to Casa de Tikistitch and began Operation Unpackification.

This is the newest J Disney Store big fig, called "Aloha." It's obviously based on that scene in the movie where Stitch is trying to become a model citizen by romancing that little old lady. I was a bit chary about shipping, since that rose looks really delicated, but it turns out it was a separate piece, so it arrived perfectly intact.

OK, folks, Disney Store online has just posted the official pix of this guy:

Here.

He is called "Aloha Stitch." Oh, and they helpfully note that he makes a great gift! Size: width 37.2 × height 28.5 × depth 32.3 (cm), weight 4.6 kg (so he will cost a bit to ship).

Not 100% sure how he ended up on auction before the official release, but that's Japan for ya.

The Japanese auction description is even less helpful and more zen than the usual: no dimensions are given. Just that it is "lovely." Oh, and I think it was called "Aloha Stitch."

Japanese Stitch's Treasure Hunt Big Fig

As a major Lucasfilm geek, I was amazed at how much Stitch/Raiders of the Lost Ark crossover stuff was issued in Japan last year. Pictured is one of my favorite items, a Stitch Big fig from the Japanese Disney Store's "Stitch's Treasure Hunt" promotion.

Here's some other stuff from the Disney Store or the Disney parks:  a statuette featuring Scrump, some Chocolate Crunch cookies from the Nile River Delta section of Disney Sea (which includes the Indy Jones ride), and stationery items with the artwork from the cookies, a metal box containing candy or cookies (I forget) that's from the Treasure Hunt promotion, and a "BEWARE" cap from the Nile River Delta section.
