Here is a prototype of one of the very first plushie Stitches released in the US, the talking interactive Stitch.
Notice that he's put together in pretty much random fabrics (including a dalmatian print on his back!).
He has a batter pack inside, but inserting AA batteries didn't seem to do anything other than make him hum.
As you can also see, there are not tags or copyright marks anywhere.
