Oh, go ahead!
These are a set of mascots from the impossibly awesome Re-Ment: I think it's Funi Funi. Anyways, it's various Disney chara as baked good.
Keen Thing #1: they actually make stuff like this in Japan.
Keen Thing #2: you can actually squoosh the mascots, as if they were real croissants or whatever. In fact, they actually feel a bit fresher than most croissants you get around here.

Paku Paku Stitch & Angel
OK, images are a bit dark this time, as I'm still figuring out the whys and wherefores of Awesome Purple Camera.
Meanwhile, this is Paku Paku Stitch & Angel. In case it ain't obvious, they're mascot-sized.
The keen thing? Press on the tummy where it says "PUSH" and they open their mouths and go "AHHHHHH!"
If the Intarnets can be believed, "Paku paku" is a Japanese sound effect that's supposed to mimic the effect of gobbling food. And thus, Pacman.
Cute and slightly disturbing. Like all the best stuff.

Hologram Emperor Stitch
Oh, and I gots a new camera! It does tilt shift!!
But in other news....
This is the Stitch as Emperor Palpatine Hologram figure that was limited to an edition of 1,980. It was issued to celebrate the 30th anniversary of The Empire Strikes Back (released in 1980, geddit?), and is ONLY available at Walt Disney World.
Keen, huh?
I wanna get a bunch of them and create and Emperor Stitch army.

Usastitch
OK, so, remember a while back, I found a UFO catcher plush of Stitch dressed up like a Usavich bunny and got all freaked out?
THERE IS ANOTHER!
Found this on eBay of all places - Stitch dressed up in Putin-esque green stripes. Oh, and since it was an eBay auction, they also included a Usavich bunny - looks like evil Kirenenko, by the looks of him.

TIKI R STOOPIT
But, you knew that.
This is a watch that was available at the Japanese Disney store a while back. Even though I'm a sucker for watches, I didn't buy one. Despite rumors to the contrary, I don't have every single Stitch item.
This one I passed up because, for one, I don't really care for the character, Angel, and, secondly, I don't care for digital watches.
Well, if you can see the close up of the face, you can probably discern that that's STITCH'S face on the dial, AND, besides the digital read out, it has HANDS. Like, duh.
So, I recently picked up a used on. This watch is by Casio, and it's part of the Baby G line, which is supposed to reflect and urban lifestyle, or some such rot.

Stitch Tea Cosy Set
DO YOU KNOW WHAT THIS IS?????
OK, so, you probably already read the title, but, anyway.
This is a Stitch teapot (which is not actually terribly unusual, that is, if you live in Japan). Plus, a cosy shaped like Stitch's head, that you can place over it to keep it warm. AND then a Stitch-shaped pad to protect your table! It's like, a Stitch tea trifecta!
Better still, looks like this is a UFO catcher prize! Imagine, all of this out of a crane machine!!!

Stitch "cargoods"
Some day, my car WILL look like this!
Only, maybe with the steering wheel on the other side.
So I don't crash and stuff.
Also, like how "cargoods" is one word. Like, it's your car, you need STUFF for it!

How to Not Collect Your Dragon
So, we finally made it out to Walmart this weekend. In case you didn't know, Wally World had an exclusive contract with Dreamworks to serve ALL of the HTTYD merch. Including, as it turned out, the food items. And, we likee food items.
Had a tip from the lovely Mmymoon that there was cutie dragon Kool Aid to be had there. Well, we didn't find any, but we did find How to Train Your Dragon Chewy Granola Bars, Raisin Bran, Orville Redenbachers, Mini Wheats, and Beefaroni. Not a bad haul!
There were also a few toys, but the selection was underwhelming, and the quality (at least to me) looked spotty. So, we took a pass.

Kitty vs. Stitch
A friend pointed to this article about Hello Kitty's declining fortunes. If you read to the end, you come upon this interesting bit:
I guess it's official when it's of note to the venerable New York Times: Stitch is "big in Japan."
Characters developed by Walt Disney, in contrast, typically make their debuts in blockbuster movies that propel them to fame and provide a springboard for further storytelling. The hit Disney animated film “Lilo & Stitch,” for example, which featured a Hawaiian girl and an alien friend, made a successful transition to a television series, all the while bringing merchandising and licensing income to Disney.
In fact, “Lilo & Stitch” has been so popular even in Japan that the series has been localized — with a Japanese girl named Yuna in place of Lilo and Okinawa replacing the Hawaiian setting.

Stitch Scottie tissue box
Stitch & Scrump training pants
So, it's Thursday, when they generally put up New Weird Stuff at the J Disney store online.
I'm not sure what the proper terms for these items might be - looks like they're not diaper covers, but actual panties for little kids. Anyways, notable because they feature not just Stitch but Scrumpie! And, they're adorable.

MindStyle Cosplay Lilo Stitch
This is the latest from MindStyle's mind-blowing Stitch vinyl series - cosplay Lilo.
This was some kind of special deal that you could only order at the D23 event way back ... whenever it was they had the last D23 event.
I love her concerned look.
This is my Flickr photo set of MindStyle vinyls, so you can see how out of control my collection is getting.

Is it just me??
Ya know, usually, I'm a sucker for Things Shaped Like Stitch's Head.
But this one.
Well.
Is it just me, or does this items look just a TAD too much like they've fashioned a purse out of a Stitch hide???
Maybe it's the zipper mouth? Which, also adds a bit of Pulp Fiction "The Gimp" weirdiness, if yanno what I mean.
